School Policies

1. Tuition & Payments

Late Fees: Payments received after the due date will be subject to a $10 late fee.

 

Payment Methods: We currently accept payments via cash or Zelle. Please ensure all digital payments are properly noted with the student's name and purpose.

 

Refunds: Tuition is generally non-refundable for missed lessons that are canceled by the student or parent. However, the school may offer a credit towards future tuition or a makeup lesson option, depending on the circumstances and availability.

 

2. Attendance & Makeup Lessons

Excused Absence Notice: A minimum of 24 hours' advance notice is required to be eligible for an excused absence and a potential makeup. Failure to provide proper notice will result in the forfeiture of the lesson.

Any missed lesson without the proper advance notice will be considered a no-show and the lesson will be forfeited without credit or makeup.

 

Teacher Cancellations: In the event that a teacher cancels a lesson, a makeup lesson will be offered or a credit will be applied to the student's account for the missed class.

 

3. Enrollment & Withdrawal

Start Dates: Students are welcome to enroll and begin lessons at any time during the year, subject to teacher availability. 

 

Withdrawals: To formally withdraw a student from the program, a two-week notice is required. 

 

4. Student Conduct

Punctuality: All students are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled lessons. Tardiness will result in a shortened lesson time, as lessons cannot be extended past their scheduled end time.

 

Respect: Students must maintain a respectful attitude toward their teachers, peers, school property, and the diverse beliefs of others at all times.

 

Studio Environment: To maintain a focused learning environment, siblings are welcome to wait quietly in the designated area. Parents observing the lesson are also asked to remain quiet and refrain from interruption. Any snacks must be consumed outside the instruction area.

Initial Contact: Prospective students should begin by submitting an inquiry form or calling the school office to discuss their interests, goals, and availability.

Assessment/Placement: The school will conduct an assessment or discussion to ensure the student is placed with the most appropriate teacher and curriculum level.

 

Trial Lesson: A paid, single-session trial lesson is required for new students to determine if the teaching style and environment are a suitable fit before committing to full enrollment.

 

Age/Level: Students must be a minimum age of 5 years old to enroll in lessons. Placement will also be determined by the student's current skill level.
